About us
Kingsbridge Allan was established 15 years ago and offers private and public sector organisations innovative and supportive programmes to manage change, improve leadership, inspire creativity, develop strategic alliances, foster appropriate risk taking and raise performance.
Its two directors bring complementary skills to offer a range of different programmes to suit companies and individuals and their requirements:
Lyn Palmer
Lyn is a professional teacher, facilitator and coach with 40 years experience in these roles. She specialises in enabling individuals and teams to reach their full potential through creative learning, strategic coaching and innovate programmes. She works with organisations to improve relationship management and raise the leadership potential.
Lyn’s approach is creative, intuitive, dynamic, holistic and person centred. She is an expert in working with individuals and teams to:
- identify blocks to changing themselves
- facilitate tools to overcome those blocks
- understand personal profiles to improve and manage relationships in the workplace
- develop creativity and encourage individuals to hone their intuition
Lyn writes and delivers learning and development programmes for first line managers right up to director level. Her courses run in both academic environments and within organisational settings. She is currently working with FLSmidth, Mars and Biersdorf as part of her tutoring role at Henley Business School.
For the last 15 years, Lyn has been a tutor with the Open University Business School teaching post-graduate programmes for the Certificate in Management and MBA programmes. She specialises in writing and delivering creativity and innovation modules, on-line tutoring programmes and contributing to customised programmes for corporate clients. Recently she designed and wrote a performance management programme that OUBS now delivers to Allianz. Lyn also contributes as an author to OUBS materials in both paper and electronic format.
Lyn is a qualified person-centred counsellor and a qualified user of MBTI.
John Palmer
John is a qualified teacher and specialises in developing outdoor team building programmes. Before joining Kingsbridge Allan full time, John was the head of a residential centre in North Wales. There he delivered educational and social development programmes for people and youngsters from a variety of backgrounds.
John now builds management development programmes using high adrenalin outdoor team building challenges.
Amongst the creative team building challenges John has devised, is a new way of playing chess outdoors. The concept was launched at the prestigious Henley Management College. Based on a large scale chess game, a series of team building exercises had to be successfully completed for management trainees to moved their pieces across the board.
